David Hockney: A Bigger Picture

January – April 2012

This exhibition demanded a detailed dialogue with David Hockney, his studio and the curators. The design sought to achieve a balance between ‘theatre’ and the functional limitations of a hugely popular exhibition.

  • Exhibition design: Calum Storrie
  • Graphic design: Tim Harvey
  • For contractual reasons it is not possible to show photographs of this installation.

Brains: The Mind as Matter

March – June 2012

The plan of the exhibition evolved from the idea of parallel walls delineating a series of ‘slices’ through the space. This diagram was then broken up to make alternative routes round the exhibition and create spaces to contain a mix of new and existing cases with wall exhibits.
